Product · For manufacturers

Let buyers configure, price and quote your custom products online.

Product Configurator turns the rules in your spec sheets and your engineers' heads into a guided online tool. Buyers can only build what you can make, and every configuration comes back with a real price and bill of materials.

How Product Configurator works

Your rules in, a quote you can build out

Connects to your ERP and CRM. Priced as a flat platform fee, not per seat.

The problem

Your quote form is a waiting line.

For configurable products, "request a quote" isn't self-service. The request sits until a rep can call, re-key it, check compatibility by hand and email back a number days later. Meanwhile a competitor's quote can land first.

Older configurator tools help, but they're usually priced per seat and hard to change when your product line does.

  • “Can you send me a quote?”Every custom request waits on a rep or engineer.
  • “Will this option work with that one?”Compatibility gets checked by hand, after the fact.
  • “Is this rated for our site?”Certification rules live in spec sheets, not the website.
  • “Why is the price different now?”Quotes get re-keyed into the ERP, and errors creep in.

What you get

Your rules, built into the buying process.

We model how your products are actually built and sold, then connect it to the systems that already hold your pricing and parts.

Only valid builds

Options, dependencies and certification rules are checked as the buyer selects, so an invalid configuration can't be submitted.

A live price

The price updates as options change, using the pricing logic in your ERP, not a separate table someone has to maintain.

A real bill of materials

Every finished configuration produces a bill of materials your team can act on, not notes to interpret.

Quotes straight to your systems

Completed quotes and orders go to your ERP and CRM without anyone re-keying them.

Start small, grow from there

Start with one product line. Add the rest as it pays off.

Most manufacturers begin with the product line that generates the most quote requests. Each new line uses the same configurator and connections.

  1. Step 1

    One product line

Model the rules for your busiest configurable line and put it in front of buyers.

  2. Step 2

    Your full catalog

Add more lines and rule sets to the same configurator as each one is ready.

  3. Step 3

    Reps and dealers quoting

Give sales reps and dealers the same tool, so every quote follows the same rules.

See it running

Built for a manufacturer with hard rules.

Our first configurator was built for an industrial sensor manufacturer, where certification and compatibility rules decide whether a product can ship at all. Book a walkthrough and we'll show you how those rules work in practice.

What it costs

A flat platform fee, not a price per seat.

Per-seat configurator tools get more expensive as more of your team, reps and customers use them. Product Configurator is priced as a platform, so wider use doesn't raise the bill.

Setup depends on how many product lines and rules are in the first release. We scope that with you before work starts.

What we'll ask to scope it
  • Which product line to start with
  • Where your rules live today (spec sheets, spreadsheets, people)
  • Your ERP and CRM
  • Who will use it: buyers, reps, dealers

Questions

Common questions about Product Configurator.

What is Product Configurator?

Product Configurator is a configure-price-quote (CPQ) tool for manufacturers. Buyers choose options online, your product rules block invalid combinations, and each configuration comes back with a price and bill of materials connected to your ERP.

How is this different from a "request a quote" form?

A form collects information for someone to act on later. The configurator checks the configuration and prices it while the buyer is still on the page.

Is it priced per seat?

No. It's a flat platform fee, so it doesn't cost more as more of your team, reps or customers use it.

Does it replace our ERP pricing?

No. Your ERP stays the system of record for pricing and parts. The configurator uses that data and sends completed configurations back.

What happens when our product line changes?

Rules are kept as structured settings, not hard-coded pages, so options, constraints and pricing can be updated as your products change.

Can it handle certification and compatibility rules?

Yes. That's one of the main reasons manufacturers use it. Rules such as hazardous-area ratings or material compatibility are checked before the buyer can continue.
