City Bench builds beautiful objects out of a once neglected resource – urban trees. A few years ago, they were about to get major PR, including some high value inbound links, but they didn’t have a website. The owner came to Matt Harris requesting something that seemed virtually impossible – design and build a website that would nicely represent their company, their vision and their beautiful products — and do it in a little over a day! Matt and his team accepted the challenge and build a website City Bench could be proud of, in time for the media launch.

More recently, the City Bench owner was ready for an overhaul to the original website – to make it mobile-friendly and a great showcase for the many beautiful images of furniture, raw materials, and craftsmen at work. The site also enables City Bench to publicize the recognition they’ve received in the media.

The site was rebuilt using a custom, responsive WordPress design. This makes it easy for the owner to add new content, while providing a top-notch user experience, especially regarding loading speed and image quality.
